A car driver gets out of her vehicle on the A8 and is hit by another vehicle.
She is badly injured.
Bergkirchen - On Sunday around 10.30 p.m., a 71-year-old Honda Jazz driver from Baden Württemberg was on the A8 between the Dachau and Sulzemoos junctions in the direction of Stuttgart.
Shortly before the Sulzemoos junction, she and her car stopped in the middle of the three lanes for an unexplained reason.
As the driver got out of her Honda, she was hit by a passing VW, which was driven by a 43-year-old who was also from Baden-Württemberg, and was seriously injured, luckily but not fatally.
She was taken to a clinic in Munich for treatment.
To clarify the course of the accident, after consulting the responsible public prosecutor's office, an expert was commissioned to prepare an expert opinion.
The Geißelbullach and Feldgeding fire brigades were deployed to secure and illuminate the scene of the accident.
The A8 was only accessible in one lane in the area of the accident site until 2.30 in the morning.
