Schongau - Andrea Hadenfeldt is a little disappointed. In April she approached the problem with enthusiasm together with her husband and Gabi Dippl from Schongau and started a large campaign. According to the motto “The Schongau earth breathes a sigh of relief”, they wanted to free the Schongau urban area from rubbish and rubbish together and thus found a name for the initiative against littering the city. Not only that: the city is also on board. Vice Mayor Daniela Puzzovio immediately tried to find the place to be, and the building yard manager Guido Schneider was also there immediately. Together they thought about how to equip the volunteers and how to support them. It was quickly clarified: The city provides aids such as garbage bags, grabs or gloves,Employees of the building yard instruct the citizens, and of course the disposal of the rubbish also runs through the city.
Team is still standing alone
So far so good.
Despite this good preparation, the team is still more or less alone and urgently needs support.
"We cannot be the only waste officers for the entire city area, that doesn't cover everything from front to back," said Hadenfeldt.
Every now and then there was an offer from a citizen, "but nothing to be taken seriously," she describes.
She said she needed three quarters of an hour a week for Heisenbergstrasse alone, and then she would like to have more time for the Brahmsgarten.
"But that is hardly possible at the moment," she reports of other initiatives that would take up time.
"Now we want to add more," thought Hadenfeldt. Their idea: to find a street sponsor for every street in the whole of Schongau, who is then responsible. “Schongau is not a big city, so you might get further with such an action.” Her greatest wish would be that everyone literally sweeps their own doorstep and keeps an eye on the neighborhood, sometimes afterwards the next block. So far, this is only an idea, a concept has not yet been developed, but the yard manager Schneider has already indicated his support. And the deputy mayor would like to speak to Hadenfeldt again. “I think it's good when citizens get involved,” says Puzzovio, praising the team of the garbage initiative “The Schongau Earth breathes a sigh of relief” and hopes that citizens will get in touch.
