The Iraqi Federal Police Command announced today that it had found hideouts for ISIS terrorists and explosive devices in the vicinity of Samarra and Kirkuk.
The leadership said in a statement received by Alsumaria News that a joint Iraqi unit carried out an inspection and purification operation in the Hawi al-Azeem area within the Samarra Operations Sector, which resulted in the discovery of five dens containing 6 explosive devices and quantities of ammunition.
The statement added that another unit carried out an inspection operation in the areas of (Al-Hawaij, Nuweket, Al-Suhail and Al-Fakhira) in the Hawija district of Kirkuk, during which a Katyusha rocket and various types of explosive devices were found, noting that the dens were destroyed, and the materials were removed and destroyed by the engineering elements.
Earlier today, the Iraqi security forces arrested six terrorists, following several operations carried out by the Iraqi military intelligence.
