The pleasant weather during the holiday is expected to take hundreds of thousands of people to the streets and nature reserves, along with many who will come to the synagogues for solemn prayers.

The Nature and Parks Authority is preparing to receive about one million hikers in the reserves and national parks during Sukkot and the weekdays of the festival.

At the same time, the traffic department of the police was preparing with increased forces in preparation for the expected congestion on the country's roads tonight and during the holiday.

At the Western Wall, preparations are already underway for the arrival of thousands of worshipers for the traditional priestly blessing ceremony that will be held during the week of the festival.

This year, due to the corona virus, the event will be split into two different classes - on Wednesday and Thursday in the morning.

According to the unique corona layout of the Western Wall, 8,000 people are allowed to stay in the compound at any given time, so the Western Wall Heritage Foundation will need to regulate those entering in order to prevent overcrowding.

Entry during the Priests' Blessing will be limited to capsules.

The class on Wednesday will be broadcast live on the "Israel Today" website.

More hours, tutorials and activities

On the occasion of the holiday, the Nature and Parks Authority will increase its staff at the various sites, and at the entrance to a variety of hiking trails in the reserves and national parks free of charge, about 70 information and information stations will be set up.

Also, the hours of operation in most national parks and nature reserves will be extended until 18:00, to allow more visitors to enjoy the sites during the peak days of the holiday and the Sabbath.

The information stations, which will operate from today until October 9, will be staffed by PA employees and guides combined with volunteers who will provide travelers with recommendations and information on hiking trails, nature values, heritage and scenery in each area and emphasizing safe and correct hiking rules.

In addition, travelers will be equipped with garbage bags to maintain the cleanliness of nature and open spaces, and in doing so, the authority has also placed kosher sukkot at public-paid sites.

In order to enrich the visiting experience of travelers, the authority will hold a variety of activities, activities and experiences during the holiday, including "Breathing Culture" performances (in collaboration with Mifal Hapayis) at an additional cost with a team of circus artists, actors and singers.

This, along with professional guidance from free guides (in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism) and activities with puzzles and hints in the spirit of escape rooms for families and groups.
