A Likud MK has embarked on an information campaign in the United States, during which he will hold a round of working meetings in Washington and New York.

MK Nir Barkat from the Likud embarked on an information campaign in the United States tonight (Monday), during which he will hold a round of working meetings in Washington and New York.

Barkat will present his position against the establishment of a consulate for the Palestinians in Jerusalem, and the consequences of such a move on the unity of Jerusalem in a series of meetings with members of Congress and the Senate and opinion leaders in the United States.

This is Barkat's second trip to the United States for this issue. Barkat claims that Prime Minister Bennett has agreed to open the consulate and is hiding this from the public.

The Bennett bureau denies.

MK Nir Barkat told Israel today: "I went on an important mission in Washington for the unity of Jerusalem.

In the coming days, I will hold a series of meetings with senior members of Congress and the Senate to explain the great danger of opening a consulate for the Palestinians in Jerusalem. "

"Bennett's government is quietly advancing the move that is expected to be implemented after the budget. This is a dangerous and irresponsible move that establishes Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine. On Capitol Hill there are many members of the State of Israel and myself and I am convinced they will understand how delusional and dangerous this move is."
