The Centre for Health Protection announced that a food poisoning incident occurred in the Izakaya Nagasaka on the 2nd floor of No. 189 Portland Street, Mong Kok.

The first case involved six men and two women, aged between 24 and 31. They arrived for dinner on September 17. They developed abdominal pain, diarrhea and vomiting about 35 hours after eating.

Another case involved three 23-year-old women who also had dinner in Nagasaka on September 18. They developed similar symptoms about 30 hours later.

All patients are in stable condition. Six of the affected persons have sought medical treatment from private doctors and do not need to be hospitalized for treatment.

The Centre for Health Protection reminds the public to patronize reliable and licensed restaurants; avoid eating raw seafood; carefully choose cold dishes, including buffet sashimi, sushi and raw oysters; when eating hot pot or barbecue, ensure that the food is thoroughly cooked before eating; During the cooking process, handle carefully and thoroughly separate raw and cooked food; use two sets of chopsticks and utensils to separate raw and cooked food; do not patronize unlicensed food stalls; drink boiled water; do not try to use salt, vinegar, Alcohol and Japanese mustard are sterilized because they have no sterilizing effect; and wash your hands before eating and after going to the toilet.
