Today, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Damascus celebrated the 72nd anniversary of its National Day, during a virtual ceremony via the Internet, in which the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, and the Chinese Ambassador to Damascus, Fong Biao, participated.
In his speech, Dr. Miqdad stressed the depth of the historical relations that unite the Syrian and Chinese peoples, which is reinforced by their commitment to one principles and common goals, indicating that the "Belt and Road" initiative, which is concerned with development, is an implementation of China's vision of the concept of "a human society sharing the future."
Dr. Miqdad referred to China's stances towards just issues, especially the Palestinian issue, praising its supportive stance for Syria in its war on terrorism and Beijing's use of its veto ten times to prevent hegemony projects being hatched against Syria.
In turn, the Chinese ambassador stressed that his country's relations with Damascus have maintained their sound and stable development, indicating that the two friendly countries are within one team that seeks to establish a community of a common future for humanity and are natural partners for cooperation and partnership in building the Belt and Road and are committed to exchanging support on issues related to the core interests and major concerns of the peoples of the two countries.
On October 1, China celebrates the 72nd anniversary of its independence and continues to push for the establishment of a new type of international relations on the basis of mutual respect, justice, fairness, cooperation and win-win and the establishment of a community with a shared future for mankind.
