As every year, the Western Wall plaza prepares for the traditional Priests' Blessing and a pilgrimage from around the country during the week of Sukkot, this year while adhering to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health in light of dealing with the corona virus.

According to the outline formulated by the Corona Cabinet, arrival at the Western Wall during the holiday will be possible for the general public without a green sign.

In order to meet the expectation of a large public reaching the special status of the Priests' Blessing, it was decided that this year it would be split into two different classes: on Wednesday, the first day of the week of Sukkot, and on the following Thursday.

These classes will be held day after day in order to prevent overcrowding.

Entry during the Priests' Blessing will be restricted to the prayer complexes.

The Western Wall is also preparing for second rounds.

Expected: One million Israelis in nature reserves

On the evening of Sukkot (Wednesday, September 21), the trains will operate according to the schedules of Saturday evening, on the lines Jerusalem Yitzhak Navon-Herzliya, Beer Sheva-Herzliya, Beit Shemesh-Tel Aviv Savidor Center, Beit She'an-Haifa Hof Hacarmel, Carmiel-Haifa Hof HaCarmel, and Nahariya-Haifa Hof HaCarmel During the week of Sukkot, on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays (September 22-26), two more trains will operate between Tel Aviv and Haifa at noon: a train from Haifa Merkaz Hashmona to Tel Aviv Haganah via Haifa, Atlit stations , Binyamina, Caesarea Pardes Hanna, Hadera, Netanya and Herzliya;

And a direct train from Tel Aviv to Haifa.

The Nature and Parks Authority prepares to receive tens of thousands of hikers daily, accordingly, and in most national parks and nature reserves the activity time has been extended until 18:00.

The Authority estimates that more than one million Israelis will visit the various sites in total throughout Sukkot and the Sabbath. Of these, tens of thousands are expected to spend the night in the PA's overnight car parks. In any case, the Authority recommends that travelers register in advance to ensure their place in cases of full occupancy.

Meanwhile, at Palmachim Beach, a checkpoint will be set up between 11:00 and 19:00 for free corona test kits (according to eligibility) for students, in preparation for their return to school holidays. Students were asked to be tested on September 29, the day before returning to regular school, to prevent the spread of the plague.

While tomorrow the weather is expected to be warm, it will cool down later in the week - and towards the end it will even rain. Thus, tomorrow the temperatures are supposed to be higher than normal for the season - but as early as Wednesday it will be colder, especially in the mountains and inland. On Thursday the trend will continue, and in the north in the morning there may be drizzle. By Friday the drizzle will already turn to local light rain in the north and center, with temperatures below normal for the season.
