The Lebanese Parliament granted the new government headed by Najib Mikati its confidence after a session held at the UNESCO Palace.
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said that the government won confidence by 85 votes, while 15 deputies withheld confidence from it.
The National News Agency indicated that Mikati's government won the confidence of Parliament after a "marathon" session to discuss the ministerial statement and vote of confidence that lasted several hours.
On the tenth of this month, the Lebanese presidency announced the formation of the new Lebanese government headed by Mikati, who was assigned on the 26th of last July to form the government after receiving 72 votes at the end of parliamentary consultations.
