The Russian Communist Party announced that it had achieved good results in the Russian Duma elections, which brought it to second place after the ruling United Russia party.
The head of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zhuganov said at a press conference today that the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in the country were "satisfactory for the Communist Party and led to the party reaching second place."
