According to UNESCO, 117 million students in the world have not returned to school since the beginning of the pandemic.

In Peru, the first school reopened in October 2020. And, since then, only about 6,200 schools out of more than 110,000 have resumed face-to-face teaching, according to the Ministry of Education, as the educational disparity deepens.
