Temperatures in the country are currently falling and the approaching autumn is noticeable.

But there will be another short summer comeback.

Some September numbers are already alarming.

Munich - New week, new weather!

After the latest forecasts with a sunny and largely mild Monday have not quite come true, the next forecast will follow.

And that actually gives hope again for the very last summer weekend.

But before that, you definitely have to tremble.

Because the winter has already sent the first harbingers.

"As announced last week, there was the first snow of the coming winter season in the Alps on Sunday," emphasizes Dominik Jung, managing director of the private weather service "qmet", according to

wetter.net

: "Otherwise we expect rather calm

Indian summer

weather

this week."

Weather in Germany: Tuesday begins in Alpine valleys with ground frost

First of all, however, the qualified meteorologist recommends a “thick jacket” for the first few hours of the last calendar day of summer.

Because in the middle and west of Germany, as in the Alpine valleys in the south, ground frost is to be expected on Tuesday morning.

Here it will be well below ten degrees in the morning hours.

In the course of Tuesday it should loosen up in the middle and in the south, before "denser cloud fields, in places haze" can come up again.

The north even has to be prepared for "one or the other rain shower".

Weather in Germany: "Indian summer is really a rollercoaster"

Overall, however, we can expect an ups and downs. “Indian summer is really a rollercoaster,” warns Jung.

At the beginning of autumn it should cool down significantly, "but at the weekend it could be significantly warmer, in some places even temperatures around or even over 25 degrees".

The climax is expected on the day of the federal election, when a good 60 million people will be asked to vote.

“Bathing weather on election Sunday, the question: Which party goes swimming on Sunday?

Is the beautiful weather depressing voter turnout?

That would be possible, but we don't want to hope so, ”says Jung, thinking about it.

Full outdoor pools, but empty voting booths?

If you want to make provisions, you can use postal voting.

There will be enough time in the coming days to think carefully about the right choice.

Because before the temperature rise, there is first of all a drop in temperature.

Weather in Germany: Wednesday a "cold air blob" passes by

So Wednesday can start with ground frost in the middle as well as in the west and south.

Jung also refers to a “chunk of cold air” that passes Germany at the beginning of autumn, but is probably only noticeable in the easternmost regions.

Thursday brings a bit of a spectacle.

Even if mainly in the far north.

The day becomes windy, "Storm only on the North Sea coast, up to 75 km / h, and on the North Sea up to 85 km / h".

In the rest of the country the gusts can reach 50 km / h.

"In the south and south-west you notice relatively little of all this, it usually stays friendly," predicts the weather man, as a result of which only a few clouds can be seen.

Weather in Germany: "Very warm last weekend in September"

And on Friday?

Cool masses of air are supposed to pass by in the northwest before the warmth from the west takes over.

According to the US weather model, the time has come on Saturday, the European model sees the turnaround earlier.

“That would mean a very warm last weekend in September, with temperatures ranging from 22 to sometimes even 26 or 27 degrees,” says Jung.

One thing is certain: "The cool autumn cannot yet establish itself permanently."

Weather in Germany: Hardly any rain expected this week

Overall, the following applies for the coming days: “We are surrounded by high pressure areas.” Therefore, the weather situation remains “relatively calm”.

There are good chances of “dry weather for a long time and sunshine again and again”.

The weather models from the USA, Europe and Germany expect almost no precipitation over the Federal Republic into the weekend.

Only in the north, in the very south and possibly in the east, some rain could fall.

According to Jung, however, presumably only "one to five liters per square meter".

Weather in Germany: So far in September a lot of sun and far too little rain

These values not only concern meteorologists: "That means: September could be very dry." By last Sunday - that is, after almost two thirds of the month - the rain target for September of 20 milliliters was only 32 percent met.

In the meantime, the sun was overly present - with 124 hours it has already reached 82 percent of its target.

Just as alarming as the low amount of precipitation: with an average temperature of 16.1 degrees, September was 2.1 degrees too warm by Sunday.

We are thus heading towards the sixth month of the year, which ends above the mean.

Weather in Germany: Summer comeback will probably end next Tuesday

Especially in view of the upcoming summer comeback.

But that will probably be very brief.

According to the European weather model, colder air masses will flow into the country again next Tuesday.

Jung refers to the cold air that is already available in Northeastern Europe: "Whether it will then reach us, there is still a bigger question mark behind it." As behind so much in the case of the weather forecasts.
