Dießen - For 35 years, Prof. Dr. Thomas Raff managed the fate of the Heimatverein and put his indelible mark on it and the market town. Now the art historian had to resign from his post for health reasons. Successor and new chairman was his preferred candidate Matthias Rodach. Who does not know him: Rodach is a sculptor and created Diessen's landmark "Diez", the "man with the golden fish" at lofty heights on Untermüllerplatz. The master student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg lives and works in his studio in Dießener Seestrasse.

At the corona-related double general meeting for the years 2020 and 2021 in the "Wirtshaus am Kirchsteig", a generation change took place with an enlarged board according to the motto "Tried and tested spirit in a new guise". Not only Raff resigned from his post, also the previous public relations officer Uschi Radaj after 25 years of voluntary work. Clara Gensbaur-Shao, who studied art history and sinology in Munich, was elected to succeed her. In the future, she wants to support the association in its external presentation as well as in curating exhibitions in the pigeon tower. The speaker for the club's own jewel Taubenturm was Katharina Andress, studied sculpture and known for her small-format wooden sculptures. You like a "professional, versatile and artistic use of the tower “with a focus on the heart.

For more "performative, theatrical and literary" things in Dießen, Katalin Fischer, the new theater advisor on the extended board, would like to work.

The director and author is known beyond the region for her theater group “Die Virtuelle Companie”.

Accordionist Annette Rießner is also valued for her chamber music series “House Concert at Ammersee”, who, according to her, has been “associated with the Heimatverein” for a long time.

As the new speaker for music, she would like to add other attractive concert formats to the association.

It also sees itself as the “interface to the minster concerts”, in whose organization it is significantly involved.

Vice-board member Jörg Kranzfelder also sees himself as an interface, who in future is striving for symbioses with the "Freie Kunstanstalt eV", where he is also the second board member.

The guests listened eagerly to Julia Rieß, the speaker for the nationally popular Dießen Christmas market. She and her team Daniel Moerler, Phillip Perret, Christine Herr-Tropp and Johann Rieß are already working on a corona-compliant concept so that the market can take place as usual on the second weekend of Advent in front of the Marienmünster this year. With better lighting and a cultural supporting program, they would like to extend the opening times into the evening, among other things. Mayor Sandra Perzul, a guest at the meeting, was optimistic that the market would be approved, but without including the pigeon tower with its narrow interior.

The posts of the second board member Jörg Kranzfelder, the secretary Nue Ammann and treasurer Josef Graf were not available, so they will remain in the established line-up.
