The Keeper of the Seals, then a lawyer, allegedly insulted a colleague and threatened her physically.

A complaint against the Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti was filed Tuesday, September 21 at the judicial court of Évreux, according to revelations from Mediapart and HuffPost.

According to the two sources, it is a criminal lawyer, Nathalie Tomasini, who would accuse the minister of "

voluntary violence of a psychological nature

", "

unconditional threats of willful bodily harm

" and "

threats of crimes or offenses against persons holding public authority or assimilated

”.

The case dates back to February 2020, when Éric Dupond-Moretti was still a lawyer.

He was then defending a man accused of having murdered his ex-wife, while Nathalie Tomasini defended the civil parties.

Several assaults would have punctuated the hearings, held from February 10 to 14.

According to HuffPost, which consulted the complaint file, Nathalie Tomasini reports "

extremely disparaging and violent

remarks" made against her and that of another lawyer of the civil parties by Eric Dupond-Moretti.

They would have qualified them as "

hysterics

" and "

filthy bitches

", or even "

shames of the bar.

".

The aunt of the deceased, who testified for the filing of the complaint, confirms having heard her grumble, in a sufficiently intelligible way, the expression "

filthy bitches

".

The person adds that the lawyer would have "

walked before the jurors while holding one of the hunting rifles placed under seal

".

She adds to having had "

the barrel of this weapon directed in (s) a direction

".

Nathalie Tomasini would also have reported physical threats on February 11, 2020 "

by means of the raised fist

".

A testimony again corroborated, this time by the general counsel for the trial Brigitte Blind.

A psychiatrist close to Nathalie Tomasini sums up the incident as follows, after talking to her friend: "

Her condition on the phone showed signs of anxiety disorders, typical of traumatic events

" she recalls.

Mr. Éric Dupond-Moretti, lawyer for the opposing party, would have, according to his words, treated him as: 'filthy bitch' and would have also raised his fist in his direction by saying 'I do not know what is holding me back. ..

'”.

A "blackmail", for the entourage of the minister

Place Vendôme, the minister's entourage reacted promptly and stressed that the complainant "

tried to integrate, against her silence, commissions launched by the Keeper of the Seals

". It is added: "

She also tried to get the minister to make a public apology on prime-time television broadcasts.

"

The minister could "

file a complaint for slanderous denunciation

" in the face of an "

attempted blackmail

", being surprised that the lawyer "

did not immediately report, as would have been her duty, to the president of the Assize Court. , to the local president and to his president the facts of which she would have been the victim

”. Nathalie Tomasini, who was to defend Valérie Bacot last June, claims to have deferred her complaint so as not to harm the interests of this client. The lawyer calls for "

recognition of the damage

", as well as a symbolic euro.
