Two sessions of the UN Conference against Racism, known as the Durban Conference but years ago turned into an international anti-Israel conference, will be held today in the General Assembly Hall in New York.
The opening session will be addressed by General Assembly President Abdullah Shahid, who hails from the Maldives, South African President Cyril Rampoza, and representatives of regional groups at the United Nations. An important achievement for Israel.
"The Durban conference was fundamentally rotten so any event that marks it is 'the fruit of a poisoned tree.'

Meanwhile, a number of pro-Israel organizations and individuals held a virtual protest rally against the conference on Sunday.
The event featured Arab-Israeli information activist Yosef Haddad, Professors Ann Bipsky, Ruth Weiss and Eugene Kontrovich, former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and others.
The prominent Israeli speaker at the conference was MK Gadi Yabarkan, who emphasized in his speech that the Durban Conference does not fight anti-Semitism but spreads it.
MK Gadi Yabarkan: "UN - Political Body"
According to MK Yabarkan, "The Durban conference was not a symposium against racism, but a racist conference against sovereign Jews.
The 20th anniversary of the "commemoration" of the first Durban conference, perpetuates racism and anti-Jewish prejudices.
Durban was in fact a conference for the denial of Jewish human rights.
"For decades, the UN has promoted 'fake apartheid' against Israel - the only democratic state in the Middle East.
"The 'anti-apartheid anti-Semites' know the truth about Israel's democracy," Yabarkan said.

A Likud MK added: "The UN has failed in its original mission to promote peace and security for all countries, as it has become a highly political body bypassed by undemocratic and totalitarian regimes that trade in bloc votes. In 2021 more and more countries are adopting moral clarity and boycotting the Durban Conference. My hope is that next year the UN itself will abolish it.
The world will be better because of it. "
