The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Homs seized a warehouse of foodstuffs in the town of Qutaina in the governorate’s countryside, containing a quantity of expired foodstuffs.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Engineer Rami Al-Youssef, Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, indicated that about 960 cans of tahini and 300 packets of ketchup were seized, all of them expired.
He also pointed out that the directorate organized seizures of violations of the disposal of 47 industrial gas cylinders for a purpose other than the intended purpose, against a certified industrial gas official in the city of Qusair, in addition to seizures of violations of production and packaging of ration bread with underweight and each two bundles with one nylon bag against bakeries in the villages of Mukhtaria and Hasya and the industrial city of Hasya .
