Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stressed that relations between Europe and Iran should not be subject to the nature of America's unconstructive work and vision toward Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Minister, during his talks with his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel, was quoted by the IRNA news agency as saying on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York that Iranian-European relations should not be subject to the nature of America’s unconstructive treatment and vision, noting that relations with Europe are in accordance with the government’s approach. The new Iranian is not limited to the troika, but includes all the countries of the green continent.
The Iranian foreign minister stressed that the history of relations between Iran and Spain goes back 400 years, stressing the need to make unremitting and serious efforts to upgrade these ties and the political, economic and parliamentary relations between Tehran and Madrid.
For his part, the Spanish Foreign Minister affirmed that his country, Madrid, will make every effort to raise the level of political and commercial relations with Tehran, and based on this vision, it decided to join the INSTEX mechanism.
The two sides also reviewed the latest developments inside Afghanistan and bilateral issues, especially cooperation between the two countries to contain the Corona crisis.
