Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stressed that Iran is counting on the actions of other parties, not their words, in the Vienna talks on the nuclear deal.
Abdullahian said during his meeting with EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York that "we will not waste time and will not accept the unconstructive behavior of the United States, and we will not disrupt our country with empty promises," stressing that "Washington should know The talks are not for a new agreement, but to ensure that it fully returns to its obligations under UN Resolution 2231.
Abdullahian indicated that the government of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is working within the framework of principles and is seeking to achieve a practical result in the ongoing negotiations in Vienna.
For his part, Borrell said that Washington's responsibility for creating the current situation is clear and all parties should help reach a satisfactory outcome of the talks in Vienna.
Abdullahian had confirmed yesterday that the failure to implement the nuclear agreement between Iran and the international community was due to the continuation of the unjust US embargo and the failure to implement the commitments made by the European Troika represented by France, Britain and Germany.
