An 18-year-old man was killed today (Wednesday) in a collision between a motorcycle and a truck on Route 4 heading south, near Hadera.
MDA medics and paramedics treated the motorcyclist and performed resuscitation on him, but were forced to determine his death.
The traffic inspectors of the Israel Police began investigating the car accident.
Police forces who arrived at the scene detained the truck driver, a 42-year-old Fordis resident. In addition, Route 4 heading north was closed to traffic following the accident.
MDA medics Yossi Azulai and Yael Manjem said: "We arrived at the scene of the accident and saw the motorcyclist trapped under the back of the truck and next to him was the motorcycle. With the help of civilians, we quickly rescued him and performed medical tests on him. He was unconscious with no pulse and no breathing and with a very severe head injury. We immediately started performing resuscitation operations on him, at the end of which we had to determine his death on the spot. "
