Budget: the state has given up cutting its workforce

2021-09-22T21:06:32.768Z

The trajectory for 2021 will be revised upwards at the end of the year, erasing the reduction of 157 FTEs entered in the initial budget.

We are very far from the account since the total elimination of the number of state civil servant positions over the five-year term represents ... 2.4% of the promise made in 2017 by the candidate Macron.

In five years, the number of State employees will have ultimately decreased only 1,249 full-time equivalents (FTE), a junk compared to the slimming treatment of 50,000 jobs (out of 120,000, including the territorial sphere) planned during the last presidential campaign.

Result, the civil service of State will have melted only of… 0.05% in five years.
