Bruno Le Maire, unveiled this Wednesday the finance bill for 2022 in the Council of Ministers.

The Minister of the Economy and Finance responded to criticism from the opposition and the High Council of Public Finance who criticize the government for letting the deficit slip and not including all the expenses incurred in this 2022 provisional budget.

These critics are particularly concerned about the measures announced since the start of the school year by Emmanuel Macron and Jean Castex, such as the emergency plan of 1.5 billion euros for Marseille or the 2022 envelope of two billion euros for the renovation. energetic.

Bercy affirms that these expenses promised in recent days are included in the envelope of 11 billion euros of additional appropriations for the ministries next year.

Regarding the functioning of the State, Bruno Le Maire promises a

with the plan to create 10,000 police stations which will be completed next year and a total of 1.5 billion euros released following the Beauvau of security.

The government confirms significant credits for youth (200,000 civic services and 50,000 young people in universal national service).

Expenses are also maintained in the employment budget, with the extension of exceptional aid for apprenticeship until June 2022 and the target maintained of 200,000 youth guarantees for dropouts without a solution.

The government has seen its spending margins improve in recent months thanks to growth prospects revised upwards from 5% at the end of May according to Bercy to 6% now. The public deficit should thus drop from 8.4% of GDP in 2021 to 4.8% in 2022
