There are 35 episodes of collapses that occurred between 2 October 2020 and 4 August 2021 together with cases of detachment of plaster but also of windows, fencing walls, fallen trees in the vicinity of schools, and fires. Of these, 10 occurred in southern regions and in the islands (Abruzzo, Campania, Puglia, Calabria, Sicily, Sardinia), 16 in the north (Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto), 9 in the central regions (Lazio, Tuscany). These episodes resulted in the injury of 4 people as well as damage to environments and furnishings, loss of school days, inconvenience for students and families. Tragedies touched in many of these cases because they occurred at night, on weekends or when schools or Distance Learning were closed for some classes.From 2013 to today the number of collapses recorded is 361, and the number of injured 63. The numbers are reported by Cittadinanzattiva which today presented the Civic Observatory report on school safety.
