Simon Hackenberg from Burgberg has passed the journeyman's examination in the chimney sweep trade and was awarded by the Chamber of Crafts Swabia as a guild and chamber winner.
Three years ago, Simon started his chimney sweep apprenticeship at the chimney sweeper master craftsman Christian Fichtl in Blaichach, top of the class at the boys' secondary school in Immenstadt.
It was always clear to the 19-year-old that after school he wanted to do some manual work in the fresh air - so chimney sweeper is just the thing.
With joy and passion
In addition to his manual skills and technical skills, Simon also had to prove his knowledge and skills in the specialist areas of energy and customer advice during the journeyman's examination.
“I think it's nice when young people decide on this traditional craft and practice it with enthusiasm and passion”, says master chimney sweeper Fichtl and adds with a smile: “I'm proud that Simon passed such a good exam and will continue to work in my company as a chimney sweeper. "
