A new medical study has found that a diet rich in dairy products reduces the risk of heart disease.
The study, conducted by Australian scientists and published by the medical journal "PLOS Medicine", indicated that adults who eat a diet rich in unsweetened or salt-free dairy products are less likely to develop heart disease by up to 25 percent.
Many previous research linked dairy products to heart problems because ingredients such as milk and cheese contain a high percentage of cholesterol and fats, but the results of the Australian study confirm the positive protective effect of dairy products on heart health.
