Former Algerian President Abdelkader Bensalah passed away today, according to what the Algerian presidency announced.
And the Algerian News Agency (WAJ) quoted the presidency as saying in a statement that the funeral of Ibn Saleh will take place tomorrow at Al-Alia cemetery in the capital, Algiers.
The statement added that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, decided to fly the national flag at half-mast in all parts of the country for a period of 3 days to mourn the death of Ibn Saleh.
Ben Saleh, 80, assumed the presidency in Algeria for a temporary period after the resignation of the late President Abdelaziz Bouteflika in April 2019 and was at the time President of the National Assembly.
