More and more for a mandate

More and more people in the Free State want to get involved in politics. This comes from a message from the state returning officer Dr. Thomas Gößl. "A total of 967 women and men are applying for a mandate in the Bundestag in Bavaria," said the regional returning officer. "This corresponds to an increase of almost 42 percent compared to the 2017 federal election, when 662 people ran." Gößl also stated that a little less than a third of the candidates are women (29 percent). Probably also worth knowing: "The average age of the candidates is 45 years."
