It was fearful whether and in what form the cultural autumn, which the city is holding for the fifth time, could take place due to the pandemic.
Now the program for the two tents on the fairground on Jahnstrasse is ready.
Visitors can look forward to 38 events from Thursday, September 30th to Sunday, October 10th.
Due to the Infection Protection Measures Ordinance of September 2, up to 1000 people can be admitted into the large circus tent and around 80 into the small tent.
However, medical masks must be worn during the entire time, including during the performances.
The 3G rule applies.
Festival organizer Günter Wagner pointed out a special service at the press conference: In front of the festival area, the Red Cross will offer free corona rapid tests.
For the first time an opera is performed
Ticket sales on the Internet and in the city library are ongoing. If you want to get tickets for the top acts, you have to hurry. According to Wagner, the concert with La Brass Banda on Saturday, October 2nd, the evening with the South Tyrolean musician Herbert Pixner on Sunday, October 3rd, the Spider Murphy Gang on Wednesday, October 6th, and the show “The Magic of Queen “On Monday, October 4th, almost sold out. Konstantin Wecker, the Metropoltheater Munich and the cabaret artists Willy Astor and Christian Springer are expected to attend other top-class guests. For the first time, an opera will be performed at the Kulturherbst: The Free State Theater of Bavaria will be performing the “Magic Flute”. Wagner is particularly pleased to have the singer Annett Louisan with her band for the final evening, October 10th. And on the first day, September 30th,the bunker brass music has a home game. The musicians create a bohemian evening in the culture tent - admission is free.
In the second, smaller tent, the “Red Pavilion”, regional and even less well-known artists will perform.
The Stefan Zinner Duo (September 30th) will be there, the singer-songwriter Sarah Straub (October 1st), the magician Andreas Maier (October 2nd), Willy Sommerwerk (October 3rd) and the jazz combo "The DC Alcodas (October 8th) October).
There is also a drum and singing workshop for everyone, a reading about football legend Gerd Müller and a documentary about the Spider Murphy Gang.
Outside the fairground on Jahnstrasse, an exhibition with works by Karl Nik Voik and the film “Die Brücke” can be seen in the town hall, Gabi Rüth reads in the Ludwig Thoma city library and a “Young Music Night” is intended for younger audiences in the Juice Shop youth center speak to.

“They are experienced in catering for large numbers of guests,” says Ingrid Hammerschmied from Egerländer Gmoi, who coordinates the “Culinary” area.

Hopefully when the weather is nice, you can enjoy cocktails at the "Südsee-Bar".
Otherwise, fire barrels help against the cold.
Beer tables and bar tables, deck chairs and bales of straw should create a cozy atmosphere.
Professional security staff, 22 trained volunteers every day and a dedicated hygienist ensure safety, order and hygiene.
Nothing stands in the way of the cultural autumn 2021.
