After Wang took the evidence, he secretly reported to the police for help. After the police arrived at the scene to investigate, they arrested A Feng on suspicion of extorting and claiming to be a triad member. The case was handed over to the Kwai Tsing Police District Anti-Triad Action Team for follow-up.

A police officer from the anti-triad group revealed that he had not heard of the "Yan Cheng" men mentioned by the man in the case, and the "Xin Chao" should have been over seventy years old and had retired from the rivers and lakes for more than 30 years.
