In an article by Turkish journalist Seiji Ozturk in the mentioned newspaper under the title "Why Five Generals Resigned," he said that "the number of generals resigning from the ranks of the army is increasing," explaining that "three generals resigned from the Chief of Staff of the Turkish Army, followed by the resignation of two others, which raises questions about the reason for the resignation of Those leaders.

It is noteworthy that the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan took advantage of the 2016 coup attempt to liquidate his opponents, as he arrested tens of thousands of people, including journalists, judges, opposition figures, government and military employees, and dismissed or suspended about 150,000 others from working in the public and private sectors.
