The corresponding instructions were formulated so badly that the whole school family was completely insecure for a day.

Headmistress Roswitha Stichlmeyr was caught off guard by the complete quarantine ordered by the health department on Monday.
"That surprised and horrified us," she reported to the FT on Tuesday morning.
“Firstly, it was said that only individual students should be quarantined, and secondly, we have a very high vaccination rate in the class.” Those affected were accordingly taken by surprise.
A strange situation arises for the headmistress
Although the parents' letter from the District Office stated that fully vaccinated pupils were exempt from quarantine, it also said: "If this applies to your child (...), we will check your details and, if necessary, an exception to your quarantine obligation Confirm the child in writing. ”The school family therefore assumed that all young people would first have to be in quarantine and only be allowed to return to school if the contact tracing team (CTT) of the health department gave the go-ahead.

This resulted in a strange situation for the headmistress: “During the Corona heyday, we only had two classes in quarantine.
And now after a few days of school we are affected by a class quarantine, although almost all of them are vaccinated.

The FT passed the price question on to the District Office. The answer made a completely different fact clear, which could not be easily read from the parents' letter: “Fully vaccinated students do not have to go into quarantine. An examination and feedback by the health department is not a prerequisite for attending the school. After submitting the vaccination certificate, however, the pupils will receive a written confirmation of the receipt of the vaccination certificate and the exception to the quarantine regulation associated with the full vaccination. The contact tracing team sends the written confirmation within one working day. "
Stichlmeyr received this information on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, almost all of the young people who had been vaccinated were back in the classroom.
The unvaccinated could join the class via video stream from home.

But why was a quarantine of the whole class ordered at all?
As Robert Stangl, spokesman for the District Office, announced a regulation by the Ministry of Health: “If more than one positive case is detected in the class and this is due to contact in the school, this is to be seen as an outbreak and the whole class put in quarantine. "
The quarantine case at the FOS / BOS is the most serious to date, but by no means the only one in the district in the young school year.
The district office already lists eleven schools of all types on its website that are already affected by Corona.
However, due to the circumstances, in most cases only those who tested positive were quarantined.
Contact persons were only affected in two schools.

In the case of two corona cases in the class, in which one could have infected the other:

However, it is up to the young people to avoid or shorten the isolation:
Completely vaccinated young people do not have to be in quarantine.
You can stay in school, but you have to provide the health department with proof of vaccination.
Unvaccinated students can undergo
a PCR test or a rapid antigen test after five days of quarantine
and go back to school if the result is negative.
