Showbiz mourns the death of actor Willie Garson, who passed away on Tuesday.
Garson played Stanford Blatch, Carrie Bradshaw's friend on the television series 'Sex and the City' and both of its film versions.
The first to confirm his death was his son Nathen Garson on Instagram.
The young man published a photo with a message in which he expressed his love.
Garson adopted Nathen as a single father when he was 7 years old.
"I love you so much dad.
Rest in peace and I am very happy that you have been able to share all your adventures with me and that you have been able to achieve so many things, "he wrote.
Although no details were given of the cause of his death, it is known that the actor suffered from pancreatic cancer.
Garson played Blatch, a stylish talent agent and best friend of Carrie, the character played by Sarah Jessica Parker.
The actor reinterpreted the role in the two films that were made from the series and had been shooting for the new HBO Max installment titled
And Just Like That.

His colleagues on stage were very affected.
Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda Hobbes on the series, expressed her condolences on the social network Twitter.
“We all loved him and loved working with him.
It was endlessly funny on screen and in real life, ”he wrote.
For his part, Mario Cantone, who played Garson's husband on the series, said he was devastated.
"I couldn't have had a brighter TV partner ... I'm devastated and just overwhelmed with sadness," the actor said.
The HBO network also published a statement on Facebook highlighting the artist's career.
“Willie Garson was in life, as on screen, a devoted friend and a shining light to everyone in his universe.
He created one of HBO's most beloved characters and was a member of our family for almost 25 years, ”the post read. & Nbsp;
Born William Garson Paszamant in Highland Park, New Jersey, Garson began studying acting at age 13 at the Actors Institute in New York.
He made hundreds of appearances on television and in movies.
