In a letter sent this morning (Thursday) from the Ministry of Education's Personnel Division to school principals, following the government's guidelines, the guidelines for teachers without a green label were tightened.

Also, according to regulations set by the government, in accordance with special powers to deal with the corona virus, new restrictions will apply to school activities.

An employee will not enter an institution unless he has presented to the manager or someone on his behalf a "green mark" certificate or a negative corona test result, a certificate from the warehouse agent indicating that he has received a third dose of corona vaccine or a corona PCR negative test result. In light of the above in government decisions, which are implemented by the Ministry of Education, an employee who does not have a green card will not be allowed to hold a distance learning instruction as an alternative to his work at the educational institution.

A teaching employee who does not have a green mark and refuses to present a negative test as required, will not be able to enter the educational institution.

His absence will be considered as an unjustified absence, and as one that does not qualify for receipt of wages.

It was clarified that in light of the government decision of September 20, 2021, until further notice, such an employee should not be taken on unpaid leave, and must follow the detailed outline, which aims to allow an adjustment period with the entry into force of regulations, striving for optimal education system. Accordingly, teaching staff must notify the school principal a week in advance whether they intend to present a green mark or a negative test as required in the coming week, and that they undertake to do

so or that they refuse to do so.

The employee must take into account that as long as he announces that he refuses to present a green mark or confirmation of a negative result in an immediate corona test, or that he refuses to respond to the manager's request, he will be considered, for the same week - for not showing up for work.

In these circumstances, the employee will be considered as one whose absence is unjustified, and as such that does not qualify for receipt of wages.

The principal will inform teachers in advance of this instruction.

Accordingly, in respect of these absences it will be possible to stroke from a substitute two hours, subject to their compliance with the said rules.
