RKI: Corona hospitalization incidence at 1.65

The RKI gives the hospitalization incidence on Wednesday at 1.65.

A weekly or monthly comparison is not possible due to the high number of late registrations.

A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences.

The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.

There are 1495 Covid 19 patients in intensive care units in Germany.

827 of them have to be artificially ventilated.

This can be seen from the data in the DIVI intensive care register (as of September 23, 6:38 a.m.).

A year ago, 289 corona patients had to undergo intensive care in a clinic.

Corona in Germany - When will “Freedom Day” come for schools?

According to the German Teachers' Association, children, young people and teachers will have to cope with restrictions such as masks, tests and distance rules for months.

"Freedom Day" for schools is seen as likely and possible from around February 2022 at the earliest, said the President of the German Teachers' Association, Heinz-Peter Meidinger, of the German Press Agency.

Schools are still a long way from normality like before Corona.

"Testing, keeping your distance and the interruption caused by constant ventilation continue to take up too much space," said VBE chairman Udo Beckmann of the dpa.

Dario Schramm, the general secretary of the Federal Schoolchildren Conference, now sees much more normality in schools than before the summer holidays.

"It is still a Corona school year so far." He also expressed the fear that pupils will be freezing in the classroom with hats, scarfs and winter jackets again this autumn and winter because of the ventilation requirements and the lack of ventilation systems.
