One school child each tested positive in the middle school in Puchheim and in the small field school in Germering.

Four returning travelers tested positive: two from Romania and one each from Italy and France.

There are indications of breakthrough vaccination in three of the newly reported cases.

Complicated quarantine for children

Parents are increasingly being confronted with the fact that their children have to be quarantined because there are corona infections in kindergarten or school.

This was most recently the case in Landsberied and Gernlinden.

In Landsberied, three of the four kindergarten groups were quarantined last week.

31 children were affected.

The trigger was an infection in a local asylum seeker accommodation.

As Lorenz Weigl, head of the Fürstenfeldbruck health department, reports, an adult resident tested positive on Friday, September 10th.

The person volunteered to be tested on a private basis because they wanted to visit something, said Weigl.

The person and their family - four people in total - were then moved to quarantine accommodation.

Children weren't among them.

As is mandatory for asylum seekers accommodation, all residents were prophylactically tested for the corona virus.

After all, they have to share spaces such as the kitchen and bathroom.

The risk of getting infected is higher.

The tests were carried out using PCR tests.

That was Sunday, September 12th.

The residents were still able to move around freely "because they were not considered to be close contacts," explains Weigl.

The results were then available on Tuesday (September 14th).

"Coincidentally, that was the first day of school," said the head of the health department.

The series test showed that six other residents were infected - three adults, two kindergarten children and one school child.

The latter had been tested negative with an antigen test before school started.

The student and the person sitting next to him had to be quarantined.

In kindergarten, on the other hand, it is difficult to identify direct contact persons. “The children play with each other, romp, fight, distance rules cannot be adhered to, and they do not wear mouth and nose protection,” explains Weigl. The two infected kindergarten children attend different groups. Each group had to be quarantined. Since there are further contacts through a joint lunch, another group followed.

As Weigl explains, the teachers in the Landsberieder kindergarten are double-vaccinated.

You could go on working.

Almost all children are now going back to kindergarten and school.

After five days, they were free to test themselves with a negative antigen or PCR test.

In one child, however, an infection was found, said Weigl.

Seven close contacts were also sent to quarantine at the AWO children's home in Gernlinden.

Two employees were infected with the corona virus.

Update September 1st:

Erstimpfung Astra / Zweitimpfung mRNA Impfstoff: (vier Wochen Abstand)
Biontech / Biontech: (drei bis sechs Wochen Abstand)
Moderna / Moderna: (vier bis sechs Wochen Abstand)
Johnson&Johnson: Einmalige Impfung

August, in Kraft.

There are currently 252 infected people in quarantine, as well as 155 contact persons.

The distribution of the infected to the individual locations is as follows:

Update August 25th:
