The theater department will be carried out by actress, director and journalist Katalin Fischer, the future exhibitions in the Taubenturm will be coordinated by the sculptor Katharina Andress, and fashion designer Julia Riess and her team will take care of the popular Christmas market. The musician Annette Rießner is responsible for the new music department,which in her brief introduction also addressed the topic of networking with other associations: the accordion player has been organizing house concerts under the umbrella of the home association since 2016. In the corona year, according to Rießner, the house concerts had turned into concerts on the garden fence. "Although it came out of necessity, it was a nice project," said Rießner, who is also the chairwoman of the Münsterkonzerte association. Now she is happy that more is possible musically again. There is also a spirit of optimism in the Christmas market team around Julia Rieß, who organized the historic market, which has been taking place in front of Marienmünster for more than 40 years, for the first time in 2019. Mayor Sandra Perzul signaled the green light for the Christmas market in 2021, who immediately filled out an application for membership in the Heimatverein at the annual meeting. "The community would be happy if the Christmas market takes place," emphasized the mayor.
The new chairman Matthias Rodach, who is known to almost all Dießen residents as the creator of the Dießen landmark, at the latest, also briefly introduced himself.
A year and a half ago, Thomas Raff had already offered him to take over as his successor.
At first he could not imagine this labor-intensive activity, but by dividing the tasks into sections, the work is well spread over several shoulders.
The club is currently starting the exhibition season in its own pigeon tower (we reported).
An exhibition with pictures from the photo workshop is also planned during the children's holiday program.
There will be no “House of the Year” in 2021.
However, the Heimatverein is looking forward to proposals for a house of the year 2022, which can be submitted by the annual meeting in March 2022 at the latest.
