Lebanese Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abbas Hajj Hassan, and Secretary General of the Syrian-Lebanese Supreme Council Nasri Khoury discussed today strengthening Syrian-Lebanese relations in the agricultural field and related files.
During the meeting, Hajj Hassan focused on activating coordination contacts through the Syrian-Lebanese Supreme Council and intensifying efforts to reduce Syrian transit fees on Lebanese products, noting Syria's permanent support for Lebanon, especially in light of its economic crisis.
Hajj Hassan presented with Khoury the file of the land transport of Lebanese agricultural products, and they discussed the file of agricultural agreements between Syria and Lebanon, the mechanisms for importing and exporting agricultural products between the two countries, the agricultural calendar, joint technical committees, and activating their work for the benefit of farmers, consumers and traders in the two countries.
