100 days of Bennett
Indecisive: The least popular prime minister in the south has not yet decided where he is headed
100 days into Bennett's tenure, and nothing seems to have changed in the South: protectionism, fear of roads, gaps in health and education relative to the center.
All of these did not begin in his time, but now he is the one who bears responsibility.
Although the Prime Minister has only a few supporters in the region, and perhaps because of that - he can change the reality

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett does not have much political support in the south, even very little.
On the other hand, former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid have the political hold here - Lapid in the kibbutzim, moshavim and regional councils, while Netanyahu in the southern cities.
Bennett, on the other hand, is almost imperceptible in the area.
However, the lack of political support for the prime minister in the south may not be a problem - but an opportunity for him, but in the meantime, it is not yet materializing.
Eyal Hevri, who fought several election campaigns for the right-wing party, then declared to his friends that "Bennett will change life in the Negev, all protectionism, crime, education, you will see. You are bibists, give it a chance."
Now Eyal speaks differently - he does not miss Netanyahu, not at all, but for him, Bennett has become Netanyahu's successor.
In many ways, this is the feeling of some of the southerners.
The one who talked about thinking differently, outside the box, changing the equation, is trapped in the same network.
The lady has not changed, nor has she glorified.
Many Lapid supporters throughout the Gaza Strip are also disappointed.
They expected something different, an initiative, and were given the same difficult and exhausting security reality.

The style is the opposite of Netanyahu, but the essence is only partially different: the political way of the Bennett government

One hundred days to the government and it seems as if here in the south everything is the same: the protection, the fear on the roads, the gaps in health and education in relation to the center have not moved. All of this did not begin in Bennett's time of course, but he now bears responsibility.
One road separates Nir Am from Sderot, running distance to MMAD, and yet it is as if another country. "Only Netanyahu" and "only not Netanyahu" are still here. Over the past decade, southern cities have developed, Sderot and Netivot have become sought-after cities, No longer a bad word in the Negev capital. Many millions have been invested in the Gaza Strip as well. But the gaps from the center remain large.
Netanyahu was a beloved prime minister in the cities of the periphery, and Bennett less so. In the south, there was talk of a man who had a perception and a vision - "excellence" he called it.
Gave priority to the southern cities, the Bennett and Lapid government give to the regional councils. Netanyahu (Photo: Reuven Castro)
In recent years, battles have been fought between regional councils and southern cities.
During the time of Netanyahu and Aryeh Deri, Interior Minister Hundreds of thousands of dunams were transferred from the councils to cities that longed for development, a struggle led by the Likud mayors and people close to Netanyahu, who put the heads of the regional councils on the defensive.
Now they breathe a little more.
Netanyahu gave priority to the cities, the Bennett and Lapid governments to the regional councils.
Meanwhile, there is the issue of regulating Bedouin settlement in the Negev.
This is a hot potato that Netanyahu did not really handle, and Bennett misses a historic opportunity for it, as he walks between the drops.
In most Bedouin localities the infrastructure is inadequate, and the state has neglected them for many years.
On the other hand, there is illegal construction in many villages.
Either he will recognize and regulate or he will destroy - Bennett has not yet decided.
The least beloved prime minister in the southern suburbs still has few supporters left, and perhaps because of this, he can turn reality around.
