Johnny Depp warns: "No one is protected" Israel today

The actor goes against the culture of cancellation and talks about the dangers inherent in it for actors and artists • "Injury to the public without distinction"

Johnny Depp goes against the culture of cancellation:

The 57-year-old actor received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain this week, and in an interview with the venue he said that "no one is protected from the rapid judgment that the culture of cancellation brings."

As you may recall, last year the British Sun magazine accused the actor of beating his ex-wife, Amber Heard, and the two have been in a media and legal smear fight against each other in recent years.

Depp sued the defamation magazine, but lost the lawsuit.

In what appears to be a reference to the MeToo movement and the harassment of women by powerful men, Depp hinted that the justified struggle has certainly lost control and is now hurting many indiscriminately.

"The various movements that have come up recently have come up with good intentions, but right now everything is so out of control that I can assure you that no one is safe," he said.

"This culture of cancellation, or the immediate leap to conclusions and judgments, is based on what it is essentially in."

The actor recently said that he is being boycotted by Hollywood and is being denied roles.

Due to his and his ex-wife's mediated conflict, Depp said he was asked not to participate in the next film in the "Wonder Animals" film series.

This is due to the claim that he was violent towards Hurd.

The two sued each other, each claiming he was the victim in the relationship, but the court ruled in favor of Heard.

"No one is protected," the actor added.

"But I believe that if you are truly armed, this is what you need (to defend yourself)."
