Thursday, September 23, the CGT Educ'action, FO, FSU and South call on teachers and educational staff to strike in protest against the start of the school year "
marked by the lack of anticipation and the confusion of the policy followed in the face of the continuation of the health crisis

In a press release published at the end of August, the inter-union rebelled against the “
denial of reality
” in which, in his eyes, the Minister of National Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, was locked up. The unions recalled that the school had been "
strained
" by two years of Covid, and considered that the minister's announcements this summer were insufficient.

It is very difficult to see any prospects for revaluation for the years to come. It is urgent to increase the salaries of all staff,
”pleaded the unions. They also criticized the "
generalization of continuing control
", and defended the return of the baccalaureate this year. Calling for an "
emergency plan for the public education service
", the unions therefore called for a strike on Thursday, and fully expected "to
continue these actions
".
The school is the center of attention, since Anne Hidalgo's proposal to double teachers' salaries.
Critically, the government ensures, for its part, to act pragmatically.
Jean-Michel Blanquer recently recalled his commitment that each professor receives at least 2,000 euros net per month, in 2024.
