Poll from Meck-Pomm: Schwesig before landslide victory? Greens and FDP have to fear

Not only the Bundestag will be elected on Sunday.

Schwerin - Not only will the next Bundestag be elected on Sunday, but also the state parliament in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. A clear victory is emerging for the SPD. A new poll before the state elections shows a clear lead for the SPD by Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig. According to the survey published by the research group Wahlen for ZDF on Thursday, the party currently has 39 percent. A week earlier, a similarly high value had been determined for the northeast SPD at 38 percent. In surveys by other institutes, the party recently reached 40 percent.

Your current coalition partner, the CDU, reached 14 percent and was behind the AfD, which came to 16 percent.

The left reached eleven percent.

Seven percent were determined for the Greens and five and a half percent for the FDP.

The Greens and FDP are currently not represented in the state parliament.

The two parties therefore have to worry about entering parliament this time as well.

According to the ZDF survey, the SPD would have various options for forming a government coalition.

It would be enough for a continuation of the grand coalition with the CDU as well as for an alliance with the left.

Overall, the starting position before the election on Sunday has remained unchanged for a long time.

According to ZDF, the research group Elections surveyed around a thousand randomly selected voters from Monday to Wednesday.
