An illegal school was opened on an abandoned farm in the Rosenheim district.

That now called the authorities on the scene - and they reacted immediately.

Schechen - Because a group in Schechen (Rosenheim district *) does not agree with "the system", they opened their own school on an abandoned farm in the Deutelhausen district.

The whole thing was blown because neighbors had registered a lot of activity on the site.

Now representatives of the state school supervisory authority and the Rosenheim district office have gained an overview and drawn the necessary conclusions.

Lateral thinking school near Rosenheim?

Authorities forbid lessons on farms

Again and again you saw children and young people running around on the site in Deutelhausen - even though the former farm had been empty for years. “We know there is something. But not yet, what exactly, ”said Schechen's Mayor Stefan Adam. Now there was confirmation that an “unapproved substitute school was actually being operated”, according to the Rosenheim district website. According to this, around 50 children and young people in grades one to nine were taught there. For this, however, there was neither a school supervisory approval nor a building permit, it is said. No application was submitted to the responsible district office for either permit.

On Wednesday, the site was inspected by officials from the government of Upper Bavaria as the state school supervisory authority and by the Rosenheim district office as the building supervisory authority.

A little later they came to the conclusion to prohibit "the operation of a private school facility by a private association in Schechen (Rosenheim district) with immediate effect".

A person found there was prohibited from leading and teaching.

The operator of the school and the property owner were handed the prohibition notices, the press release said.

If the group does not adhere to the instructions, they face a fine of up to 20,000 euros.

Substitute school would probably not have been approved

In order to be able to open a private school in Bavaria, a state permit is required beforehand.

The teaching objectives, the establishment of the so-called substitute school and the training of teachers must correspond to those of public schools.

However, the operation of the school in Schechen has not been registered, nor have any permits been applied for.

"The government of Upper Bavaria has determined in its decision an overriding public interest in the prohibition, since according to current knowledge in particular it cannot be assumed that the school operation would be approved," says the homepage.

There was initially no reaction from the operator group.
