The Ministry of Education announced today (Thursday) to the directors of educational institutions that teaching staff who do not have a green mark or a negative check for Corona - will not be able to enter schools and kindergartens.

Also, these employees will not be able to observe remotely and their absence will be considered as unjustified and not eligible for pay.



According to the Ministry of Education, starting October 3, the green mark regulations will be updated so that a person will be entitled to the mark only if he has been vaccinated in the third dose against the corona, who has not yet passed six months since receiving the second vaccine, recovered from the virus.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has updated that 5,921 people have been diagnosed as verified to Corona in the last day.

Of the 106,913 tests performed, 5.64% came out positive.

It was further updated that the number of currently severely ill patients stands at 723 people, including 197 respirators.

7,592 people died from the virus in the outbreak of the plague in Israel.



It was also updated that 3,128,158 people had already been vaccinated in the third dose in Israel.

This is against the background of the approval of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) tonight by the recommendation of its experts, according to which the booster dose will be given to people aged 65 and over and to risk groups, including teaching and health teams.

The decision of the administration is subject to the approval of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which is expected to vote on the issue today.
