What will happen to the test centers in the Freising district?

For the test center in Au, it will end on September 30th.

Au / Hallertau

- From October 11th, the corona tests will be chargeable.

It is currently unclear what effects this will have on the test centers.

But one thing is certain: the test center in Au will end on September 30th.

What has been going on in Au for a few days, confirms Martin Stumpferl, Head of Business Development at Aicher Ambulanz, when asked by FT: “September 30th is the last day of operation in the Au test center.” The district “canceled the order ".

He says he has no further reasons.

Stumpferl assumes "declining test numbers".

Robert Stangl, press spokesman for the Freising District Office, confirms this: "Operations in the Au test center will be terminated on September 30th due to the significantly lower capacity utilization."

It will continue for Freising, at least until the end of the year

For the time being, nothing will change for the test center in Freising, which is also operated by the Aicher ambulance.

"As things stand, the test center will remain in place until December 31, 2021," explains Stangl.

“However, it is still unclear how the operation will be organized.” Specifically, the point is that the free tests for citizens will be discontinued on October 11th - in accordance with a resolution of the ministerial press conference on August 10th.

Which tests are ultimately chargeable and how everything is billed is "still completely unclear," explained branch manager Daniel Schwinning of the Michaeli pharmacy in Moosburg, which operates the test center in Dreirosenstadt together with the BRK-stand-by Moosburg.

A pharmacy has a problem ...

As for the background, he explains: On October 10th, an exemption for the pharmacy that allows them to carry out corona tests outside of the pharmacy's rooms will expire.

If this special agreement is not extended, the chargeable tests may only be carried out in the pharmacy itself.

And that, according to Schwinning, is a problem, as the test center was opened for space and organizational reasons - initially in the Moosburg ice stadium, now in the hop hall.

But he does not expect more detailed information on how things will continue in the future until the end of September at the earliest.

The test site in Moosburg was very popular

Compared to the Au test center, where, according to Stumpferl, “there was never a big run”, the test site in Moosburg is “relatively well attended”, says Schwinning - “it was a lot going on”, especially in the days before school started.

Meanwhile it is an ups and downs: "In the morning it is usually a lot going on, then it subsides and later it gets more", reports Schwinning.

During weddings, “five tests in five minutes” are carried out in Moosburg.

But both Schwinning and Stumpferl expect that the demand for corona tests will "decrease" - at the latest when you have to pay for them.
