Since its creation in 2018, the Toulouse start-up (Haute-Garonne) Colibri wants to revolutionize the paint market, in its manufacture but also in its uses.
After having convinced with its bio-based paints, composed of 95% natural products such as pine oil and algae, the company now offers to buy its paint by the square meter, and no longer by the liter.
A further commitment to eco-responsibility and the fight against waste.
No waste
“The click & paint service assesses the complete pack that the customer needs for his work, including painting and equipment, calculated at the right quantity, underlines Cédric Laurent, founder of Colibri, who previously worked for fifteen years in home renovation.
The buyer not only saves money but also avoids overconsumption and waste.
For equipment, we take back free of charge what was not used during the work.

The company markets its natural paints only on its website and sold some in 2020, due to the Covid effect, nearly 25 tonnes.
Its clients are individuals and paint companies.
Without petrochemicals, its products cost around 15% more than an acrylic paint.

“During the health crisis, we reached out to new customers who wanted to redo their interior and were sensitive to health issues, explains Cédric Laurent.
Our paint does not have plastic or solvent but it also allows to clean the air inside a house.
We have integrated chemical nanosensors that neutralize the volatile organic compound found in all commercial furniture.

With its click & paint service, Colibri has already reached more than 30,000 people interested in this new form of consumption.
