Peißenberg - There is a lot going on at TSV Peißenberg: In the past two years the "Figure Skating" and "Artistic Skating" departments have been established and this year on September 3rd, the "Equestrian Sports" department was launched at "Gut Moosmühle". The foundation was sealed last week when the new division was officially approved at the TSV's annual meeting.

"We are happy about every new addition," said TSV President Stefan Rießenberger about this step. He is particularly pleased that equestrian sports can be opened up to those interested who otherwise would not be able to afford it. Rießenberger attended the founding meeting together with Vice-President Markus Heidler, Member of the Executive Board, Annette Halbritter. Florian Netzer was elected to the board and Athina Hager-Boufidis to the second board of the new department.

According to Netzer, the new offer should not compete with the other equestrian clubs in the district. “The aim is to bring equestrian sport closer to adults, children and young people.” The offer is aimed at all amateur athletes who enjoy riding or who are interested in equestrian sport. The focus is on enjoying sports and not participating in tournaments. Nevertheless, according to Rießenberger, there are plans for the more distant future to participate in smaller tournaments. In addition, courses are to be offered and riding badges and horse driving licenses can be obtained from the department. It is also planned to make riding therapy possible and thus to further open the association for disabled people.

The idea to found the new division came from Netzer, who turned to TSV Peißenberg.

There was a meeting with club representatives at "Gut Moosmühle", at which the key points were discussed.

"We quickly came to a common denominator," said Rießenberger.

The members of the department train in the Moosmühle owned and operated by Netzer and his family.

The TSV wrote in a message that they were happy to now be “part of a large club”.

Those interested will soon be able to get an idea of the new department and the system in Paterzell: Trial days are planned before the department gets started.

Even if a lot has happened at TSV Peißenberg in recent years with new foundations, it should continue with new offers: Rießenberger could, for example, imagine "Nordic Walking" and guided mountain bike tours.

“We're always looking,” he says.
