A ship collision accident occurred in Tuen Mun.

At around 10 pm on the 22nd, it was reported that a sampan and another speedboat collided in the waters of Lung Kwu Chau, during which two men fell into the sea.

Sources at the scene said that after they fell into the sea, they floated and sank in the sea, and both called for help at one time.

After the police received the report, the marine police and firefighters rushed to the scene to rescue them and rescued two men and sent them to the hospital. However, one of the men was suspected of being drowned and unconscious. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was required when he was sent to the hospital. However, he was seriously injured in the early morning of the 23rd. He died; the other was sober.

At about 1 am, the Government Flying Service helicopter was dispatched and hovered over the sea west of Lung Kwu Chau; the fire fighting vessel also continued to search in the waters at the scene.

According to the source, the two male victims cannot be ruled out as illegal immigrants, and the police are investigating the incident.

Police said that during patrols off Lung Kwu Chau, officers from the West Division of Marine Police found a 54-year-old man from the mainland surnamed Wang calling for help and a cardboard box floating on the surface.

Marine police, fire and flight service teams searched and rescued at the scene and rescued Wang Nan and a 60-year-old man. Wang Nan was awake and the other was in a coma. The two were sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment.

After preliminary investigations, it is believed that the two entered Hong Kong waters from the mainland in a wooden boat. During the collision, they collided with a speedboat and they fell into the sea with the cargo on board.

Wang Nan was arrested on suspicion of "endangering the safety of others at sea" and "illegal entry."

The police continued that the unconscious man was certified dead at about 6 am on the 23rd.

The sober man from the mainland was sent to hospital for treatment and was subsequently arrested.
