Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

- How will important political decisions be made in Germany in the next four years?

Citizens will have the chance to have a say in the general election on Sunday.

When it comes to deciding which party to tick, a different topic is crucial for everyone.

The Tölzer Kurier asked some representatives of certain social groups or associations in the district what is most important to them for the work of the next federal government.

Stefan Drexlmeier, head of the office of the community foundation Energiewende Oberland:

“For climate protection, all levels have to work together - from the EU to the municipalities and the individual citizen. The fact is, however, that the greatest leverage for many issues lies in Berlin. Funding for the replacement of heating systems or for solar systems, for example, must be consistently expanded; this must become more attractive in the private sector. We also need a significant simplification so that it is economically viable for landlords to build solar systems on their apartment buildings. Here in the Oberland we see that many people are ready to contribute to climate protection - but they don't want to pay extra either. That is why we need a fair price for renewable energies. It has to be clear: if we factor in the financial consequences of climate change, then we drive with renewable energies much cheaper than with fossil fuels. "

Barbara Starkz, Advice Center for the Homeless, Caritas Bad Tölz:

“For our clientele the most important issue is: Housing is a fundamental right. We need enough housing that is adequate and affordable, including for families, retirees, people with disabilities or mental illnesses. It should not be the case that a certain group of people is displaced from the region and has to move to structurally weak areas. If you don't focus on social issues, you should consider: If the caregiver, the cleaning staff or the supermarket cashier can no longer afford to live here in the district, then we have a real problem. It is good for a region if it remains diverse and colorful. That is why everyone in the region should be able to afford rent or a home they live in as far as possible.Ten years ago the latter was still halfway possible for normal earners with appropriate planning, today you have to have a really high income for home ownership. There are various levers for the next federal government to change something.

“The most important thing is freedom, social security and peace in the world.

That is the prerequisite for everything else - our democracy will take care of the rest.

Neither party can regulate these basic requirements and the global economic framework.

If the economy collapses in China, it doesn't matter whether it is black or green.

In general, you shouldn't talk badly so much.

There are many good and positive things in our country.

Especially here in the Oberland we have a good economic situation and enough work.

If we didn't have the pandemic, we would be in better shape than ever before.

But neither party can do anything for Corona.

From an operational point of view, I would only like to see less bureaucracy. "

Kristian Müller, district manager of the Social Association VdK:

"The social network absorbed the worst economic consequences during the pandemic - but above all for those who are socially insured and can now bridge the Corona period with short-time allowance, for example.

We at VdK therefore demand: Everyone who has an activity should be included in the social insurance.

So also self-employed, regardless of industry and turnover, mini-jobbers, civil servants and members of parliament, but also top earners in management and on company boards. "

Hubert H. Locher, CEO of the Dorst-Locher-Stiftung Kochel am See:

“As the person responsible for a medium-sized company with a few hundred jobs, I am very worried about how the surveys are currently looking. The widespread hostility towards economic activity on the part of the left ultimately leads to nothing other than unemployment and does not get us any further socially. In Germany we need a future that is open to technology and not political constraints that lead to nothing. For example, the interaction between climate and e-mobility is discussed very short-sightedly and completely ignoring the facts, e-mobility is nonsensically declared as emission-free and highly subsidized. The result will be that a few hundred thousand jobs will be lost because developments in modern combustion technologies and alternatives will be halted.Nothing at all is gained for the climate for years to come. Technology openness and innovation mean costly investments in development, which means that companies and entrepreneurs who have the air to act quickly, also to take risks and to maintain highly qualified jobs and create new ones are needed. This means that we do not need higher taxes in the company, certainly no wealth tax with substance effects and no higher social security contributions either. International competition is growing rapidly. We can only remain a strong export nation with new and competitive products. And what we still need are reforms and the reduction of bureaucracy everywhere, and not new bans. This means that companies and entrepreneurs are needed who have the air to act quickly, also to take risks, to maintain highly qualified jobs and to create new ones.
