More than the visit of the President of the Republic, the surprise could come from the vote of some 34,000 mayors to elect the successor of François Baroin.
Contrary to what had been happening for several years, two lists clash: that led by David Lisnard, LR mayor of Cannes, supported by François Baroin, with André Laignel, PS mayor of Issoudun.
And that led by Philippe Laurent, UDI mayor of Sceaux, current secretary general of the AMF, made up of elected officials furious at the cooptation of David Lisnard by François Baroin.
