The results from the state at a glance.

Hamburg - The northern federal state of Hamburg, one of the three German city-states, has 1.85 million inhabitants, of which 2,515 each share one of the 755 km² area. Hamburg is an economically strong federal state with the highest gross domestic product per capita in any country comparison. Many bodies of water shape the cityscape and, together with the Reeperbahn and Elbphilharmonie, make the city an important destination for international city tourism. In the 2017 Bundestag election, there were 1,296,656 citizens eligible to vote in Hamburg. For this year's federal election, the SPD is running with Olaf Scholz as candidate for chancellor, a man from Hamburg - and from 2011 to 2018 also mayor of the city.
