The branch of the Syrian Grain Corporation in Aleppo governorate put the Kafr Jom metal silo in the southern western countryside of the governorate into service at a cost of one billion Syrian pounds, comprising 12 cells with a capacity of 12,000 tons, by taking advantage of collecting the necessary pieces from the sites of the Maskanah and Burdah silos affected by terrorism.
Engineer Abdul Jalil Hardan, director of the Syrian Grain Foundation, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the maintenance and rehabilitation work for the Tal Balat silo in the eastern countryside of Aleppo has been completed after it was sabotaged by terrorism at a cost of one billion Syrian pounds. It is estimated at 100,000 tons of wheat, while a study is currently being prepared to provide the silo technically (electricity and mechanics).
Hardan explained that in the coming days, work will be done to rehabilitate the Khan Toman silo in the southern countryside of Aleppo with a capacity of 100,000 tons, as well as to renovate its main building structurally, in addition to developing the second line at the Hanano Mill in the Neirab neighborhood at a cost of 600 million Syrian pounds for the two projects.
Hardan indicated that the completion rate of the project of installing modern technological equipment and operating machines in the reception department of the modern Aleppo mill in the Tal Balat area in the countryside of Aleppo reached 25 percent, with a capacity of 12,000 tons and will be put into service soon, in addition to automating, developing and operating the main equipment at Al-Thawra Mill in Neirab, which contributes To expedite the completion of the work, pointing out that the capacity of the mill is 150 tons per day.
Hardan pointed out that a technical study is currently being prepared to rehabilitate the Freedom Mill in the Aghyor neighborhood after it was sabotaged by terrorism at a cost of one and a half billion Syrian pounds and a capacity of 100 tons, in addition to preparing a technical study to rehabilitate and operate the modern Aleppo Mill in Tal Balat with a capacity of 400 tons of wheat. Daily, work is currently underway to rehabilitate the fence of the Jibreen Grain Center.
